Westport, the salmon-fishing capital of the Washington coast, hosts the Boat Basin Salmon Derby for anglers chasing the big one. Expect serious competition, camaraderie at the docks, and the thrill of the weigh-in.
Whether you fish or just love the harbor scene, it's a classic coastal event in a town built on the sea. Westport's marina buzzes with charter boats and fishing culture, and the surrounding beaches, lighthouse, and surf breaks give non-anglers plenty to explore while the derby plays out on the water.
