Miles of wide sandy beach stretch south to the mouth of the Alsea River, and crabbing and fishing are available in Alsea Bay. You’re minutes from Newport to the north, Waldport, Yachats and Florence to the south, and an incredibly beautiful stretch of shoreline in between. “We are from New York City and took my elderly mother to the beach for a week right after Christmas. This little house is totally charming, with perfect views of the ocean and an easy trail that enabled us to walk on the beach multiple times each day. On our final day, we woke up to a beautiful sky with a full double rainbow in front of us. Pure magic.<br/><br/>I totally recommend this house, with the one caveat that there is very little privacy because of the fact that the walls don't go to the ceiling. This wasn't a terrible problem for us, but might be for a family with small children. The way sound travels in the house makes it very hard to watch TV while anyone is sleeping in another room. Nonetheless, the place was immaculate and well-equipped and the access to the beach could not have been better. We will probably rent it again.”
