Cozy Casita

Located in the beautiful Redwoods of Mendocino county. This sweet apartment is newly constructed. It has a lovely view of the forest and is only a 5 minute drive to the beach or to access rustic walks in the Jackson State Forest.

The space

The upstairs apartment has an open floor plan with two bedrooms, a bathroom and a fully equipped kitchen. The bottom floor (renovated garage) is occupied by a friendly, easygoing young man who works early and occupies the outdoor bathroom only. You share only the front door with him.

We are a very relaxed, friendly, bilingual family who live in the main house next door. We have lived in the area for years and are happy to answer any questions or concerns you may have. We have information on all the best eateries, local spots and hangouts and can also direct you to the favorite beach locations as well.

Guest access

You may park right in front. The parking area is shared with Andy, the downstairs tenant and us, the hosts, but we leave you the main space right in front. The property backs up against Jackson State Forest. It’s pretty rugged and magical. You are welcome to tromp through the woods or have morning coffee, or a cocktail anywhere in there or on the grounds!

Other things to note

Our downstairs tenant uses the outdoor bathroom & shower. He is very easygoing and friendly! If you cross paths at any point he is not shy and will be happy to chat about our area! Our apartment generally has a shoe off policy due to hardwood floors and the fact that we are in the woods! Flip flops or house slippers are perfect! Official rule book on site.
